Novel Uses of Al2O3/Mos2 Hybrid Nanofluid in MQCL Hard Milling of Hardox 500 Steel

In recent years, the application of environmentally friendly cutting fluids in metal industry has been a growing concern all over world. this study, minimum quantity cooling lubrication (MQCL) technique, which uses very small amount oil, is motivated to apply hard milling process Hardox 500 steel. Further, rice bran natural biodegradable used as base fluid Al2O3/MoS2 hybrid nanofluid. ANOVA analysis study influences nanoparticle concentration, speed, and feed rate on surface roughness. The obtained results indicate that good quality achieved speed significantly increased 140 m/min (about 2.55–2.80 times higher than recommended values) due better lubricating effects from MQCL system Moreover, microstructure machined proves formation MoS2 tribo film by using nanofluid, indicating effectiveness each type nanofluid promoted. Furthermore, important technical guides for machining steel are provided.
